7 Powerful Traits You Should Adapt from Ultra-Successful Entrepreneurs

social media recruiter

Be honest…

Have you ever been nervous about what other people might think of your business?

Especially if you’re building online, you might have some fears about what your upline and downline, or your friends and family, might think when they start seeing your content and Facebook Lives in their News Feed.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve definitely had these fears myself.

But I realized that, sometimes…

You need to use your fear as FUEL to move forward

Because what happens when you don’t move forward?

Well, you stay where we’re at—stuck.

Where it gets too overwhelming and nothing happens.

So how do you move forward and get into momentum?

That’s what I asked myself when I got started five years ago.

And long before I build my nearly seven-figure business from home, while raising two boys, I needed to get super clear on what do successful people actually DO, day-in and day-out, to move their businesses forward.

So I looked around and jotted down these traits I saw in my mentors (a few of whom are the founders of Elite Marketing Pro) and wrote the following list, which I want to share with you below—the seven traits all powerful and successful entrepreneurs follow.

Because look, even though I’ve had success, that doesn’t mean I don’t have moments when I feel like I’m l kicking a wall.

We all do from time to time.

And when I have those moments, I remember these traits, starting with…

Most successful business owners are conscious of their MOST valuable resources—time and money.

And if you are trading your time for money, that equals restriction.

For instance, when I was in corporate America, I was on the hamster wheel.

Anyone who’s been in corporate America knows exactly what I’m talking about.

You’re exchanging dollars for hours; you’re not building up investments.

Well, you might be with your 401K, but honestly, when are you going to touch that—50 years down the road?

You must respect your most valuable resources!

So when I got tired of corporate America, I bought a franchise, because I thought it was my ticket to freedom.

Well, it was the complete opposite.

I’m going to tell you this right now:

Most traditional business owners are STRESSED to the max, and they’re strapped!

After all, most businesses tank in their first year.

Luckily, we didn’t, but I was there morning, noon, and night.

And I was exchanging way more time than what I was getting paid.

That’s no way to live.

One of the most appealing things when I got started with Elite Marketing Pro was the SYSTEM to automatically attract other network marketers.

Remember, if you’re exchanging dollars for hours and the going gets tough, what’s more important?

To push past or to stay where you’re at or to keep exchanging those dollars for hours?

The choice is pretty clear, right?

Next, you need to adopt an investor mentality and…

Ever since we were young, when we were given $10 from our parents or from our aunt and uncle and they would say…

“What are you going to buy with that $10?”

And you know what they don’t say?

“What are you going to invest in with that $10?”

So from a young age, we have a consumer mentality.

Awareness comes before change

If you understand the leverage behind investing, investing in yourself, investing in your future—you can’t go wrong.

I don’t look at business expenses as purchasing, I look at it as investing.

Last year, I invested $70,000 into my education.

Think about Elon Musk…

He sold PayPal and he acquired $180 million.

Nine digits.

Crazy.

And what did he do?

Well, he took $100 million and he invested in Solar X.

He took $70 million and invested it in Tesla.

The rest he invested elsewhere.

Musk invested everything and literally borrowed money to pay his own rent.

People looked at him like he was crazy, but he saw the vision of where each of those ventures were going.

So let’s get out of the consumer mentality and…

I will say this over and over again:

Surround yourself with successful people!

If you are not where you want to be, you must latch onto those who are where you want to go.

Stop taking advice from people that you would not switch places with!

Oftentimes, people want to give us advice, because they think that they know better than us, or they want to protect us.

But here’s the thing: if you’re not willing to trade places with that person, do not take advice from them.

Find the person who will take you from “point A,” to “point B,” to “point C.”

Find the people that will move you up the ladder.

The EMP community is amazing because we have incredible trainers and mentors to show us the way.

But they can’t do it for us; no one can build it for us.

We need to take the knowledge and then we must apply it.

Again, surround yourself with successful people

Success leads to success.

Look, I’m always learning and I don’t pretend to know everything.

When I started building my business online, I began learning Facebook ads.

Now eventually, you get to a point where you can outsource this stuff, but I thought…

“I want to understand how to do Facebook ads. I want to understand how to create a landing page. Etc.”

I really wanted to understand all this stuff.

And hey, it’s okay to learn, and to plug into resources, and to watch webinars, and trainings, and podcasts—all of that is great.

However…

You really want to find a mentor

That’s going to be the most impactful way to accelerate your business growth.

Find the person who is where you want to be, and get their road map, because you’re going to get there faster with directions.

In the meantime, always be learning something.

And don’t stop with learning—take ACTION on what you learn.

This is so important.

I can’t even tell you all the mistakes I made and all the time I wasted…

I was on so many peoples’ lists, I was registered for so many different webinars…it got really overwhelming.

And when we are confused, or overwhelmed, we don’t actually do anything.

So I highly recommend getting focused on where you want to go, and focused on how to get there.

Draw out a road map for yourself and do it, if you can, with a mentor (because it’s much quicker that way).

Next…

Building a community has been instrumental to the success of my business this last year.

Now, last year, when I started my fan page, I had zero followers.

ZERO!

Just like everyone else.

So I invited 100 people to like my page, because you must have 100 likes to start boosting your content.

Now, ask yourself…

What happens when people know, like, and trust you?

Hint: they buy from you.

So my mentality was not to sell, sell, sell!

Instead, it was to manifest my vision of a community where I can offer tips, and trainings, and help other entrepreneurs—whether in network or affiliate marketing, or even in the coaching space.

Point is that when I built my community, there was nobody there.

I had to build it.

We all know that line from the movie, “Field of Dreams”:

“If you build it, they will come.”

Well, believe me…it’s super painful when you start and nobody’s there.

But vision, focus, and consistency are what grew a following of 46,000 people liking my fan page.

Now people say…

“How did you do that?”

Well, it wasn’t magic.

You’ve got to treat it like the most important thing—because it is!

I showed up and delivered, consistently.

I’ll share a content plan in a minute.

First, listen, if you build a community that knows, likes, and trusts you, you’ve got to give value, value, and more value first, and then you can sell.

You’re not supposed to be selling all the time.

You’re LEADING them in the direction you want to go.

So…you must create content pointing towards where you want to lead them to, thus you must…

Let’s talk about turning your marketing into revenue for a moment.

And one of the best ways you can do that is by engaging your audience with content—period.

So you want to set up a content plan with the end result in mind.

Here are a few tips to get started:

First, you must understand who your target market is.

And whether you’re posting to your personal page or your fan page, you’re not creating content for you, you’re creating it for your AUDIENCE.

And in your content you want to agitate their problems, and then show how you can help them solve it.

The next step is understanding the ultimate goal of your content.

For you, inside this community, you might want to promote the 10-day online recruiting boot camp or my 3-Way Facebook Messenger Recruiting Scripts.

Then you create content pointing towards that offer in your social media updates, blog posts, and Facebook Lives.

And sure, you could post prerecorded videos instead, but I highly recommend Facebook Lives.

If you’re a member of the community, you can repurpose Elite Marketing Pro’s blogs.

For the longest time, I was simply repurposing EMP’s blogs (because they’re amazing).

Now my email broadcasts consist primarily of my Facebook Lives.

So if I do a Facebook Live, then boom, it’s an email.

My favorite is Facebook Lives because it’s the biggest attraction at the moment.

You can also schedule your content in advance.

It’s simple to do, you just put the time and the date you want the content to publish and boom, it automatically posts to your page at the specified time.

Always lead towards the call to action.

The call to action should be a step towards whatever you’re looking to eventually promote and sell.

So, for example…

If you’re discussing online prospecting, post a link to Social Media Recruiter.

Or if you’re talking about branding, point your audience towards Attraction Marketing Formula.

Importantly, make sure you engage with your audience throughout your broadcast.

Make sure that you’re present, attentive, answering questions, asking for engagement, asking for opinions, or asking questions throughout the Facebook Live.

This makes a BIG difference in your results.

Finally…

Don’t make excuses—evolve.

There’s a quote in The Art of The Deal:

If you’re going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big.

So get clear and hone in on your vision.

Focus.

Laser focus.

Procrastination kills productivity

I know because I’ve been there.

Making excuses, finger pointing, confusion, all of it gets you nowhere.

So you want to make sure that you have a really clear vision in front of you.

Matter o’ fact, I need to create a new vision board because I’ve hit seven goals on my current vision board already (which I look at every single morning).

We live in a world of clutter and you must declutter.

You must start cleaning out your inboxes.

You need to get down and dirty and realistic with what you want to create for yourself and your future.

Take these tips I’m offering you and when times get tough, remember that every successful entrepreneur has been there.

I can promise you that.

Be a forward thinker and screw what anybody else thinks!

People will have their own agenda for you.

People will have advice for you, but take all that with a grain of salt.

Know your plan, what you’re meant to do, and who you’re meant to serve!

And keep you focus solely on the people you’re meant to serve and the impact you want to create.

If you can do that, I promise you…

Success will follow.

Finally, here’s my tactical tip for you today…

My number one, go-to attraction marketing tool is Facebook Messenger

Messenger is a powerful, low-resistance, rejection-free alternative to traditional 3-way calls and has been key to my success.

So if you need any help prospecting on social media, then you might like a resource I created to help out other network marketers who want to sponsor a LOT more people.

They’re my 3-Way Facebook Messenger Recruiting Scripts, which are 100% free.

You can “copy and paste” these PROVEN scripts to quickly enroll 10-15 new team members each week.

…all without being “spammy,” without vomiting on people, and without sounding like an infomercial.

You’ll discover the exact method I used to take back my time and personally sponsor 270+ reps and grow a team of 8,300 distributors, all from the comfort of my home, in just 3 years.

In fact…

These strategies create such explosive duplication, that for every person I sponsored, my team would grow by an average of 30 people in depth each time.
